Joseph got his first professional pictures today. He was such a little ham: smiling and laughing, but for an hour afterward, he refused to even smile. Guess he was just "smiled-out!"

Pioneer short story
I posted a pioneer story on my short stories blog. I'm entering it into a contest sponsored by the Mormon Channel and would appreciate feedback!

Ben and I saw Jill Stevenson preform last night at the Soiled Dove and it was so good. I went to High School with Jill and she's so talented.
1/2 way through the concert, Ben turned and told me, "you should see about performing here," and my friend Allison agreed though I protested. Later, my other friend Stephanie came to say "hi" and told me, "the next concert I come to is yours."
The thought of getting a band together (Ben's brothers and my brother and me) is terrifying but also exciting. It has me contemplating...
BTY Jill's website is www.jillstevenson.com and you can hear her music for free. She's amazing.

Great-Grandma Susi was here this weekend and she took us to the Denver Children's Museum. What a neat place! Benjamin loved the huge Train room (of course), Chance's eyes lit up about the Fire Truck and Joseph loved lounging on a lily pad in the Baby's Room.
We played until everyone was so woren-out, even Mom and Dad needed a nap.

Mainfesting 100 blog followers
My challenge is to attract 100 followers to my short stories blog.
I put time and effort into posting my writing there and I'd like to get a steady following for it and use it as a tool to further perpetuate my desire of being a best-selling author.
My blog is www.heathershortstories.blogspot.com
Just add yourself to the "Followers" tab and you'll get an email every time I post something delicious to read.
It's totally free and hopefully entertaining.

Living with Parents...
5 days now of moving in and living with my parents. It's been crazy but also fun and actually a lot easier than I thought. Sure, it's not glamourous to be living in the basement of your parents house with a husband, three kids, two cats and a dog, but we are so grateful to them and it's actually working out ok.
Interestingly, this is the largest space we've ever lived in, so we don't feel cramped at all (though my Mom might) and I'm loving all the closet and storage space. The biggest thing is trying to keep the noise level down (yeah, that's pretty impossible) and keep things clean (with Chance, that's also nearly impossible).
We're happy to be here and be with our family again but greatly miss our friends from Utah! You are in our prayers and we love you all!
